(3) Climate Change Hell: Six states down under and more to go

Apparently, Bangladesh is not the world’s flattest nation. Six countries take the credit or at least used too. But Bangladesh is a pocket sized nuclear weapon that was being primed to uproot what we then used to call ‘World Order’.

But those six countries whose names we can hardly pronounce kept being played around. The big powers and their even bigger words meant no respite to divided families and broken homes. Low populations and an even lower pollical heft meant that no one cared when they went under. But we all pretended to. Many countries jumped in and offered asylum. The Tongans and the Polynesians were promptly ushered into temporary shelters that seemed to be sprouting up all over previously uninhabitable lands. Ooooh, the Tongans in a desert. What irony.

But these six countries did not matter anyway. Most of the world thought Bangladesh did not mater either. The west started attacking countries, not some small nation state like Venice or Luxembourg but entire countries. Chile first and then China.
