A Last Letter to the Japanese People - Save Gaza

 I know.

It sounds strange!

Why the Japanese. Simply, because, to me you bewilder me.

First was the bombing and much before that were the atrocities and in between, there were many wars, but at the end of the shitstorm that was the second world war, the two strangest outcomes still remains unresolved.

First is the creation of Israel and the Nakba of Gaza and today being the 5th of April, 2024, the only thing constant is the news of dead children. 

Second is the change of hearts of the Japanese.

Deeply traumatized, the tragedy of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the emotions it evokes, can only be felt by an ethnic Japanese. 

I am ok with the growing relations with nations, especially the global north. I am ok with you aligning with virtually everything that NATO, EU or the USA does, so much so that there is no longer any human left on earth who can identify a break in your tone - your unity as the global north is truly impressive. Especially when it comes to dead children.

History will judge you and very soon at that. Request that you look back and let your Asian tradition get the better of you, for better or the worse, for good or the bad. 

But for now, be friends with friends and do what you do, but temporarily remember your tradition based on compassion and save the Gazans.

It is 5th of April and every atom counts.
