Migrants and our response to it

For all the crisis unfolding due to the movement of internal migrants, India takes the cake because the large number of critics and observers that we are, issues like these never get hidden under the carpet. It is tragic but it is in public view and the government and its many wings cannot wish the tragedy away. They have to act to save the millions of Indians stuck in no man's land and already they have started mobilizing. With all our inefficiencies, we still manage to get our act together. With so many other societies, these news often remain hidden. Our fralitiy is our strength also.
